It used to be possible but was very difficult, not sure if they changed it..

It's still possible. You need 2 people in order to do it. Look it up on youtube. There should be a guide.

yeah helped a friend with it just the other day...took a few tries but he got it

I see a few people saying its hard...
It's rather easy, at least that was my experience (:
took around 5 minutes, ur friend should aggro the bear and then run away, at the time he runs away (with the bear) u use charm animal, and then the bear cant cancel ur charm animal.

That's how it works, but it's not as easy as it sounds. I know I tried to help a friend cap it and we spent a fruitless hour at it. Later he went out with someone who was experienced at it and they did it first try.
